Back To The Podium At Donington

British GT was at Donington Park for event number 4 of the year and Dean and HHC were looking to get back to the podium places after a hard Silverstone 500.

The weekend started well from Dean and Callum as they managed to qualify 3rd on the grid for the Sunday race, missing out on pole by a very small margin of a few tenths. This put the team in a very strong position looking into the race as they looked to grab more points to put towards their title bid.

The race was going strong for Callum who took the first stint to then hand over to Dean to finish the race. Dean lost some time on the exit of the pits as a recovery truck was stuck in the fast lane that hindered the teams very well executed pit stop. This meant that it brought more cars into the mix behind Dean as the other Tolman McLaren would leave the pits sitting on the HHC Mclarens tail. This didn’t look like it was effecting Dean after having added pressure. The two Mclarens would then stay very close for the first 20 mins of Deans stint but from then on out the number 57 of HHC and Dean would stretch their legs and go after the leading 2 cars. After catching the leading 2 cars at over a second lap Dean managed to grab second position with 2 laps remaining and just run out of time to fight for the win.

A very strong comeback for the team and more importantly it was another load of points to put along side their names as the title race continues to Spa Francorchamps in Belgium.
